I’ve been working with Decas now for 3 years. They have been incredibly communicative and responsive at all times. They are also very creative in thinking of ways to decrease vacancy. I recently worked with Taylor who thinks out of the box and helped me secure another 1 year lease for my original tenant. No vacancy so far!!!! Update: As a rental unit owner, No Payout and no activity the last 2 months. I emailed twice and left voicemail; no response. It is unlike them, will update this if/when I hear back and take next steps. Update #2 Decas was able to resolve the issue with Section 8, and was able to get a rent increase. This deserves 2 more stars. With that in mind; I hesitate with their no proactive communication policy with their investors; they will wait for owners to communicate concerns (I.e. no rent for the month) before they investigate. They need to be more proactive with communicating to owners especially if there are issues with our rental income payouts.

Update : Depuis quelques mois, ne répond plus du tout aux emails, très inquiétant pour un property manager. Je suis propriétaire de trois maisons chez eux. De grosses difficultés de communication avec certains membres , ils ne répondent que quand ils ont besoin de fonds mais autrement il est très difficile d'obtenir des explications... Des work orders abusifs, une maison louée un an, 6 000 USD de frais de remise en état. Une première estimation à 2 400 USD qui finalement se soldera à 3 800 USD, puis un second work order, un mois et demie plus tard, estimé à 700 USD qui en coûtera au final 1 700 USD Pour le reste Paige est efficace et vraiment sympathique ! Elle compense à elle seule les problèmes de certains autres membres de l'équipe. La gestion se fait simplement et quand il n'y a pas de problèmes tout est plutôt clair. Merci et plus particulièrement à Paige pour son implication. Je ne recommande pas du tout DECAS GROUP dans l'ensemble !

Poor response time to my questions

Decas managed 10 properties of mine over 8 years. The company has gone down hill in the last two years. I have recently had to switch to a new local property management company. They irresponsibly manage rehabs. Do not account for financial transactions appropriately and do not handle accounting errors in a timely manner. A single make ready went through multiple vendors contracted by them and sat empty for months of rent losses. J Benoit recently announced he is selling the business to Paige Sweeney, who I thought would do a better job or at least improve the situation. The team takes weeks or months to respond to questions. I’m still waiting on responses to emails I sent nearly six weeks ago about vendor and accounting issues, with no replies to my follow ups. It is a shame that this team has so many problems and has turned into such an unprofessional organization. If I was giving this review five years ago, it would have been different, but I think they have grown past their ability to actually run the company well. For any current owners or anyone considering Decas, I would not trust them to manage your properties. If you do, I strongly encourage you to triple check your owner statements and ask for tenant statements as well to compare transactions. Their system of accounting is very questionable, and they should be willing to provide updated documents when requested. They ignore you. Do not expect timely responses to questions about your accounts or properties. Consider your emails and calls ignored, and more importantly money lost. Bottom line, avoid this company. Sadly, at this point, legal remedies might have to be used to get them to respond to my concerns so we can settle accounts. I wish that wasn’t the case but it seems there’s no other option.

This is the worst unacceptable most horrible house I’ve ever lived in every since I’ve been in this house is been a nightmare. They always come out to fix one thing, but never completes all. It’s like they do enough just to get by and then have to make another maintenance request for them to come out which they still does not get the job done ever since I’ve been in this house is been nothing but problems I am paying them $1200. Monthly they just put me in a house put something together just so I can move in instead of telling me about the problems that was wrong with the house before they just throw me in there knowing that the house needs work knowing that I would have at $844 bill and a $698 bill with no one to help or concern and now me and my kids are in a house and it’s cold and no one is even trying to get a new heating system or anything. I asked for them to bring me some space heaters or something no reply no emergency hotline do not rent from this company. They are horrible.They are just trying to get money from you . Note property mgr Taylor only cares of his well being very rude unprofessional not customer friendly at all he compares his house with me renting from Decas his house has nothing to do with me renting from them …. Now can’t get in touch with anyone

Be careful before signing a lease with these people. They lied on my family and I and said we damaged the property which was a total lie because if anything we had it looking better than when we got the home. Said we got evicted which was another lie! We had to leave the home early because the neighborhood had gotten to bad for us to live there. We paid rent every month! Go somewhere else just not here. They will lie on you

After a few horrible experiences with other managment companies, finally I found the one I was looking for. Highly reccomanded!

While I had to move due to family circumstances, I've made it clear to them that I fully intend to return and rent from them again in the future. I wholeheartedly recommend Decas Group, giving them a perfect 10/10 rating for their outstanding service.

I had a bad experience with DECAS group. They never answer their phone and always make excuses for each when there’s an issue. Taylor Burke is not customer friendly, he talked me into signing up three years ago and went ghost didn’t answer my phone calls or emails. I have proof of everything I’m saying in this review. The realtor is not helpful or friendly as well.

I have been renting from Decas for over 2 years and I have never been more disappointed in a rental company. It takes weeks for maintenance requests to get completed and the communication is also horrible. No one in the office ever answers the phone and if you send in an email it takes almost a week to get a response. The property manager is never available neither is the front desk. No calls get answered they’re always forwarded to the voicemail. This will be my last year renting from them.
